As Predicted, Turncoat Boehner Pushes for Blank Check for Obama

President Obama knows. We all know.

House Speaker John Boehner will cave. Oh, he will talk the talk and walk the walk right up to where he gives the other side everything they want.

I have repeatedly predicted Boehner would cave, hopping I would be wrong. Today: Boehner caved. Only he wants us to believe he is getting a “tough” deal done. While the details are still sketchy, what we are hearing so far is that this is yet another evaporating cut sham the Speaker has become so adroit at pulling.

Obama gets $10 in new spending for every $1 in cuts!

This is an absolutely horrible deal. Here is what Boehner wants to do:

He plans to give Obama $2.5 to $3 Trillion – the number has gone back and forth – immediately in exchange for $3 Trillion in cuts over 10 years. Basically, $10 in new spending for every dollar in promised cuts. And we all know how good politicians are at keeping promises – especially John Boehner.

Fortunately, more sensible Republicans are holding back on approval, and the House (hopefully) will not have the voted for this betrayal.

And even more disturbing, Majority Leader Eric Cantor appears to have signed on for another bad deal for America.

This is really getting tiresome.

  1. Steve Martin says:

Really? To win he needs to remain with us. How is it helpful to call him out before he has a chance to do anything wrong? Obama is doing the same thing. Obama has accused him of being in our pockets, in an effort to separate him from us. Why would we not express confidence in an effort to keep him strong on our behalf? We would have plenty of time to criticize him, should he fail.

  2. Steve, it is even worse than I thought. This plan gives Obama $1 Trillion and promises, but does not guarantee – $24 Billion in cuts this year. That’s it. $24 Billion. The bulk of the cuts come in 2020 and 2021. And they hope they happen! This is after listening to Boehner explain his plan on Hannity. Here is some analysis from myself, FreedomWorks and Heritage.Org Hannity will repeat the show on 1140 AM starting – well, now. He interviews Jim DeMint, Eric Cantor (which I missed) John Boehner and Rand Paul. Please listen and see for yourself. And Mark Levin is talking about it now as well

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
