Bad News – Economy Only Added 162,000 Jobs In March

Why is that bad news?

Because the US Census Bureau and the government hired 1.2 million workers to count people. Note: This number counts Government Jobs Created or Saved.

These are temporary government jobs that will go away when the counting is done. And they are paid for with tax dollars. Or more precisely more government debt.

And while the Mainstream Media will be shouting from the rooftops that the recession is over, with no mention of the 1.2 million temporary Census jobs, when these jobs go away in a few months is anyone so blind to believe the sudden explosive job losses will not be “explained” as Census Jobs ending. No big deal.

Wrong on the 1.2 million. The Census Bureau has hired 72,000 workers this year and expects to max out at the end of the year at around 1 million.
Why don’t you say bajillion? It is equally credible.

AP, if we could get a straight answer out of Obama, these things would be much easier. Hiring estimated range from 600,000 to 1.2 million in total. Figures of 48,000 hired in March have been released, but these do not count the workers let go on April 1.

So, not only is Obama playing with the numbers, as usual, he beefs up the workers for 3 days, counts them in the employment numbers and terminates them.

Now they are sending out more Census forms in hopes of counting people twice in “some” areas. Want to venture a guess as to which areas will get a second form? If you guess inner city and minority areas, you win a cigar.

I use the figure of 1.2 million as this is what was reported. Google is if you wish. And we have no way of knowing how many have actually been hired (and retained).

      From WaPo

“The Commerce Department expects to hire at least 600,000 temporary workers this year to staff the 2010 Census survey. Forecasters expected a bump of 100,000 census hires in March. But only 48,000 were hired. In other sectors, some 40,000 temporary health service workers were hired in March, while the financial sector shed 21,000 jobs.”

This is another area where Obama is intentionally screwing with the numbers. Truth be told, all 162,000 jobs were more than likely Government jobs.

Robert Gibbs expected 100,000 jobs per month to be added in 2010 on average. Hmmm. If I divide the original figure of 1.2 million by 12 months, what do I get?

I suppose the bulk of the new workers will be hired in the 3 months or so preceding the November elections to try to hide the abysmal job Obama is doing.

But I am well aware you are not capable of believing your One would do such an underhanded and cruel thing just to skew elections. Kool-Aid good?

I did Google it before I replied the first time.
    72,000 this year.
    48,000 in March.
Your 1.2 million does fit the high end of the overall estimate, but here’s the problem:
“Because the US Census Bureau hired 1.2 million workers to count people.”
You see, by using the past tense, you implied 1.2 million had already been hired and should be considered against any current gains.
Sounds like screwing with the numbers to me. If you’re gonna talk the talk you need to walk the walk.
I’ll look into the double count thing and get back to you. I don’t see how you can enter more than one result per address. That is a simple filter that must be in place.

Ok, AP. I edited the post to more accurately reflect the numbers of Government jobs created OR SAVED last month. I am sure that is a count you can believe in, right?

And I am just curious, you admit the claim of “The economy added 162,000 jobs” is a bogus number because you admit it adds in government jobs that add even more to the tax burden on citizens. Yet you fail to call out the Obama administration for this deception and inaccuracy. Yet you insist that a blogger somehow is out of line for reporting numbers given by the same Administration that fudges the numbers.

Look, we do the best we can. But when we have a president that is as deceptive as this one, there is going to be a disagreement on numbers. Because they are failing to provide accurate numbers.

If only you and your Obama adoring fellow libs would hold Obama to the same high standard you expect from blogs, perhaps we would finally get accurate numbers from them. But as long as you are content to accept this garbage and spin from the White House, OBama’s lies will continue.
