Disappointed is all I can say on the narrow defeat of the Amash amendment that would defund the NSA spying.
I am further disappointed that every GOP congressman from Virginia except Griffith voted to keep NSA spying.
NO on Amash Amendment (Yes on spying): Wittman, Cantor, Hurt, Wolf, Forbes, Rigell, and Goodlatte
YES (No on spying): Griffith.
The three democrats voted YES.
Here is the list.
I think this is a vote that many of the GOP congressmen in VA mayyet find politically indefensible. It plays into the hands of those who say the GOP and the Dems are Tweedledee and Tweedledum. I am not there yet. But too many votes like this may result in either a liberty primary rival or a Libertarian in the fall of 2014 or both.
