Just in case the left has forgotten what Barack Obama said in 2009 in a meeting with Republican leaders, Bob Woodward wrote in his book “the Price of Politics” on a comment Barack Obama made to former Virginia Congressman and Majority Leader Eric Cantor:
In one passage in the book, Rep. Eric Cantor presents a recovery draft that doesn’t meet the demands of Obama and Democrats. Obama responds, “I can go it alone but I want to come together. Look at the polls. The polls are pretty good for me right now. … Elections have consequences and Eric, I won.”
Yes, Democrats. Elections have consequences. And Trump won.

I LOVE THIS BLOG POST. SEND IT TO LOU DOBBS AND NEIL CAVUTO. AND THEN
CNN ( WOLF BLITZER AND VAN JONES) AND MSNBC- ESPECIALLY RACHEL MADCOW AND CHRIS HAYES TO SHUT THEM UP.
You are 100% right, Tom. But just remember Virginia played no part in electing Trump to the White House. None what so ever. Virginia is blue, dark blue. Nobody in Virgina a can lay claim to putting Trump in the White House. The staff in Virginia came up short.
Will Trump forget that Virgina turned it’s nose on him? Will Trump consider those who worked on the Virgina campaign losers?
Why would anyone pick the person to lead the RNC from a blue state?
Hey Gene, NOVA seems like it would be a Gr8 place for u to live. A haven of very wealthy liberals living off the taxpayers “working” in DC.
FACT: Remove the 3 NOVA counties of Arlington, Alexandria & Fairfax & VA is easily a 80/20 Red State, VERY Red!
Unfortunately, I receive no government money or subsidies at all. Why be so mad at the messenger?

If anyone should know about Elections having Consequences it’s Cantor himself!
Praise God for Dave Brat; an honest & principled man unlike the other 2 men mentioned in your blog post.

Virginia does seem to be a blue state but we have to remember we have very few strong conservatives on our ballots excepting Brat and Garrett. That doesn’t excite anyone at the local level. Also, how many felons and illegals voted in this past election? Next years state election has a couple of conservatives but I am not excited about the gubernatorial or the lieutenant governors race but perhaps it will change later in the year. I want to see non establishment candidates. We have seen enough of the Howells, McDonalds, Orocks, Cantors and other Republicans that vote with the Dems.
One thing to keep in mind. Elections have consequences. After 8 years of the Obama Admin hiring Liberals and stacking them up in NoVa, as Trump drains the DC swamp, the population in places like Fairfax – with 1/7 of the voters in the entire state – will turn more red as the liberals in the Obama administration are replaced with Trump hires. There will be a lot of Democrats out of a job soon and they are scrambling to find employment.
So in 4 years, the political lean of Virginia will be less blue and more red. Will it effect the Governor’s race next year? Considering Gillespie almost beat Tim Kaine, there is a possibility. But Mark Warner is up in 2018. NoVa will be less blue then for sure. So we will see Virginia move more to the right over the next 4-8 years.

4 of the 5 wealthiest counties in America are in NoVa and Maryland, all home to the gravy train crowd.
Even if it is thru attrition the federal civil service work force is going to get shrunk, considerably. Think about the ramifications of the EPA, the IRS, Dept. of Commerce to just name 3 on the hit list. What if the constant talk of turning control of our public schools back to local control happens…….much smaller Dept of Education.
Virginia was blue……..but the next election cycle could be dramatically different.

Trump won the most Electoral College votes, but he still needs to be confirmed as the next President by the Electoral College Electors, on December 19.
A petition on change.org is asking the Electoral College Electors to break faith with the voters, and elect Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump on December 19. The petition currently has more than 4 million signatures.
If you are concerned about that, you can sign an opposing petition, that asks the Electors to keep faith with the voters:
