Eric Cantor Faces Major Challenge From Conservative Peter Greenwald

peter_GreenwaldGood news for those of us that have grown tired of 7th District Congressman Eric Cantor’s empty promises to defund Obamacare, repeal it, fix it, replace it or whatever it seems cool to say on any given day.

And how about his promise to cut spending, balance the budget, bla, bla, bla.

If you measure Cantor’s success based on fulfilled promises, he is a complete and utter failure. He has voted in Obama’s favor in every vote really counted. Yet he points to his theatrical votes to repeal Obamacare that will never see the light of day in Harry Reid’s Senate.

On the votes that really counted like the debt ceiling and funding Obamacare, Cantor is in Obama’s hip pocket.

We should really call Obamacare Cantorcare. Without his votes with Obama millions of Americans would not have received cancel notices on their Health Policies.

And Pete Greenwald has had enough and will challenge Cantor for his Congressional seat.

Greenwald is a Veteran and a Patriot.

Here is a bit about Peter Greenwald:

Dear fellow patriot,

I love God and I love my country, and I am asking for your support as I seek to save our Constitutional republic and to secure the blessings of liberty for our children and future generations. Throughout my 25 years of service in the Navy and now as a retired Naval officer serving at James River High School in Chesterfield County, I have strived to live a life of honor and shared sacrifice.  My wife Anne has faithfully supported me for 20 years through 10 moves across America to our various duty stations from Virginia to Colorado, Ohio, Washington and back again with a stop in Louisiana.  Together we have raised four children to love and follow Jesus and to love and serve others.

In my last assignment in 2008 I reported to Fort Riley, Kansas to prepare for deployment to Afghanistan. On my first Sunday morning while walking to the chapel, I came upon a memorial to “The Big Red One”.  I paused to read their motto, “No mission too difficult.  No sacrifice too great. Duty first.”  As I faced the rigors of pre-deployment training, I needed that reminder that raised my spirit and renewed my ideals.  Today, our nation faces a difficult mission to restore our Constitutional republic.  That mission requires shared sacrifice and all of us as Americans to put duty first and strive for RESTORATION NOW. Like those who signed the Declaration of Independence, each of us, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, [must] pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

My Bio

Born in 1962, I grew up in Springfield, Illinois, the home of our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln.  As a young 13 year old, I remember first listening to Ronald Reagan as he challenged Gerald Ford for the Republican presidential nomination.  Four years later, as a senior in high school, I cast my first ballot in support of Ronald Reagan as he defeated Jimmy Carter.  After earning my BS in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I attended Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI and received my commission as an Ensign in the US Navy on 31 May 1985 as part of the Reagan build-up in support the Cold War to defeat communist aggression.  Nearly two year later, I completed flight training, earning my “Wings of Gold” as a helicopter pilot and received orders to my first fleet squadron, HSL-35, in NAS North Island, CA.

In November 1989, 2 months after my return from a WestPac” cruise with the Ranger Carrier Battle Group, we celebrated the “Fall of the Wall” in Berlin, Germany as the Soviet Union began to crumble and the people in eastern block countries gained their freedom on this day (as I write this), November 9, 24 years ago! I’m glad I could play some small part in winning the Cold War.

At the end of my first fleet tour in 1990, I attended Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA where I earned my Masters degree in National Security Affairs (Area Studies: Southeast Asia-Far East-Pacific) and met Anne, my wife of 20 plus years at an Officer Christian Fellowship bible study.  Upon graduation in May 1992, I reported to Norfolk, VA as the Flight Deck Officer as part of the pre-commissioning crew of the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3).  Over a two year tour, we successfully trained for and conducted our first flight deck operations.

Charter Colony Rally

Thanks to the support of one of my neighbors, we will have our first campaign rally on Saturday morning, 23 November at The Colony House from 9:00-11:00 am.  Please join me for bagels or doughnuts (maybe both) and some coffee.  At 9:30 we plan a short video followed by a speech.  We will then open it up to questions and answers and then spend the remainder of the time in a type of open house format.   I hope to see many of you there.

If you have had enough broken promises from Eric Cantor and the Republican RINO’s that support all of Obama’s policies to destroy America, Peter Greenwald just may be the opportunity you are looking for.

I always just thought Republicans were delusional for calling Obama – who is by all accounts an awful and terrible president, to be clear – a “Communist” or “Socialist” since relatively little of what he’s done can be considered that far Left. However, if even Erick freakin’ Cantor isn’t Conservative enough for some, maybe such a spectrum of Obama as Communist is plausible, in whatever warped perception of ideology this is.

  2. I was hoping it would be Glenn Greenwald!

I may not by the journalist Glenn Greenwald, but perhaps I can still garner your support! I pledge “my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor” to restore our #Constitutional republic!

Another Tea Party “Sweetheart”, code for split the Party and lose Elections.

If you read his views on the issues, you will find that he is not electable. There is no way that anyone that Far off center will ever get elected. NONE!

The buck stops with SCOTUS, at least with those of us who believe in our Constitution. ObamaCare is Constitutional. Hasn’t it become Ted Who lately? Or, is it just me?

Besides, Cantor is Teflon. Big money likes him. And the District will never give up someone with his rank. But a female candidate in the center, with a ton of money, one never knows?

Not my fight, but the facts are what they are. If the last election did not prove it, nothing will. You can say Cuccinneli had baggage. But what about your guy Jackson, and then Obenshame? Before that Allen, Palin, Bachmann?

Why doesn’t Mr White write an article about what Radicals learned last week Tuesday?

Besides, Mr. Greenwald is Republican, you are Libertarian Mr. White. Who is your Candidate?

    • Kenneth Hawk says:

Gene, Didn’t you just help someone “very far left of center” get elected?

Remember – No executive experience, never held a private sector job, was a horrible campaign mgr for Hillary, was a disaster as DNC chair, and is under 2 federal investigations to name a few interesting factoids.

This was in your words, “the crook of your choice”, right?

    • Mike says:

I don’t care if he’s unelectable. I feel obligated to vote for a man with integrity. (Yes, I’m getting used to my candidates losing 🙂

  4. Gene Lefty says:

Thanks for your comment Mr. Hawk.

Let me get this straight, you actually want me to watch, and believe, a film put out by Citizens United? You just have to be kidding me? Not interested.

I, along with the majority of Virginians decided to elect the most qualified person available to govern Virginia. The facts speak for themselves. Mostly likely all 3 statewide candidates will be Democrats. The majority have spoken, again, again, and again!

Regarding the newest T Party “sweetheart” . When someone runs on an ideology that after SCOTUS clearly rules something Constitution, that it is still not Constitutional, then they simply do not believe in the Constitution, Freedom, or Democracy. It is that simple. I believe that this would in fact be supportive of Anarchy.

Also, I believe the possibility is strong that they are aware of this, and do these things just to attract the low info and hate radio listener type voter. The same ones who read National Enquirer.

I hope that answers your question as to how far off center your latest T Party “sweetheart” is?
