I found this blog entry from the ARCA (Albemarle Responsible Citizens Alliance) and I am both encouraged and discouraged. It is a detailed attempt to get liberals, environmentalists, sincerely duped people and perhaps globalists to make sure their voice is heard in the BOCS debate on ICLEI and Agenda 21. I am all for the petition of the government for a redress of grievances – go with my blessing – but they need to be outvoted/emailed/attended by our side. Here’s some highlights:

On June 8 at 6:00 pm, in Lane Auditorium of the County Office building, it will be important for as many citizens as possible to attend the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors work session.

At this meeting, the county’s commitment to environmental stewardship and long-range regional planning will be under attack. It is extremely important to attend this meeting, because the Jefferson Area Tea Party has pushed the Board to the brink of making some decisions that could have devastating consequences to our local community.

This is absolutely true. We need as many citizens to show as possible. We are attacking the unconstitutional globalist agenda of ICLEI and Agenda 21. We need to win!

I am also encouraged by the fact the other side is worried. They must be afraid that we are persuading the people’s representatives to follow the Constitution and the people’s will. Their fourth paragraph shows it:

The Tea Party’s recent mobilization—showing up at Board meetings in numbers of 30 or 40 at a time—has cause some members of the Board to take them seriously. In fact, Rivanna Supervisor Ken Boyd has jumped on the bandwagon, stating that the objectives of sustainability were part of an “international agenda” — “a cancer that is infiltrating our local government here.”

I am encouraged. Supervisor Boyd has been openly supporting the right position for the right reasons, much like Councilman Nutt in Spartanburg, SC has, and he only needs one more vote on the board to kick ICLEI out. My deep background suggests the board is divided. I would also suggest this is an admission of what Tom DeWeese calls a “Soviet” style form of leadership on sustainability:

The Sustainability Accords being decried by the Tea Party were developed by a group of local citizens from the six localities of the district—a “diverse group of farmers, business people, foresters, environmentalists, developers and elected officials” who were charged with creating a vision for “a future where our economic, human, social, and environmental health are assured.” Over a period of four years, the group developed a mission statement, with goals, objectives, indicators and benchmarks, through a public process with forums and working groups. The Accords were presented to the public on June 16, 1998, were signed by citizens and local elected officials, and included as part of the comprehensive plans both Albemarle and Charlottesville.

An outside group with an agenda (“a future where our economic, human, social, and environmental health are assured…”) that is similar to the ICLEI political agenda (see my blog entry where I state the political goals of ICLEI – such things as abortion, social engineering, socialistic schemes and political correctness enforced by global power) that is signed off by elected officials that nod and say “that sounds great”. It’s not great; it’s a steady move against personal liberty, property rights and national sovereignty. Now people all over the nation are starting to get wise to ICLEI and its global anti-American plans and goals and its defenders are upset. GOOD! It means we are winning. Get to that meeting in Albemarle on June 8 or email your representative. Use the email address ARCA provides: [email protected] Tell the people’s servants how you feel. Let’s win June 8 and start getting ICLEI OUT of the Commonwealth.
