I just saw the fundraising numbers for Rep. Bachmann.  I actually expected them to be in the 6 to 8 million range.  But it was $4.2 million!

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) raised $4.2 million for her presidential campaign in the second quarter, according to her campaign. Half of the second quarter total was raised in the past 2½ weeks and the rest has been transferred from the congresswoman’s congressional campaign account.

But Cong. Ron Paul raised 4.5 million dollars!  In fact, the final numbers might be more:

UPDATE: After this item posted, a Ron Paul campaign spokesman contacted ABC to clarify that the Facebook RonPaul12 is not actually affiliated with the campaign and that the fundraising figure it cited was wrong. The Paul campaign expects to report it raised more than $4.5 million in the second fiscal quarter of 2011.

There more about the wonderful RP campaign ad!  Check here.  Politico reports that the ad buy is more than either Bachmann or Pawlenty – $166,000 in both Iowa and New Hampshire!
