I am not sure how the White House will take this. But I generally support the limited bombing incursion into Iraq to check the ISIS insurgency. I think it probably should have been done some time ago. The Obama Administration might throw a party or have a news conference or cite me for support among libertarian/conservative bloggers (note small “l”) or will probably ignore it! 🙂
But it seems to me that ISIS is a major threat to the US and we need to stop it best we can. This bombing incursion is appropriate for the situation. I do think use of ground forces ought to have Congressional endorsement (which I say is the modern equivalent for a declaration of war unlike my hero, former Cong. Ron Paul. But I would agree with Paul that Congress should be consulted before war or major military action.)
But it’s important to have me on the record on this.
