There is a great article in the New American about ICLEI and here’s an interview with ICLEI President (and former city council member in Vancouver, British Columbia) David Cadman:

When asked by The New American at Rio+20 about the growing U.S. opposition and Alabama’s latest prohibition in particular, ICLEI President David Cadman seemed perplexed. “I haven’t seen that about Alabama, and I’m quite surprised about that,” he said, adding that he did not think states could pass such laws.

On the growing backlash against “sustainability” more generally, Cadman also sounded somewhat confused. “I’ve got to confess I don’t really understand the Tea Party…. We find that [opposition] nowhere else but in America,” he said. “I think, quite frankly, a lot of that is because America is not well served by its media…. There are times when I’ll turn on Fox News, and I’ll say, ‘This wouldn’t be allowed in Canada,’” Cadman added, pointing to Canadian laws that force media outlets to give “both sides of the story.”

What arrogance!  Here’s a Canadian politician who suggests US states cannot ban ICLEI and also want to “force” Fox News to give “both sides of the story”.  That is exactly Agenda 21 thinking in action:  Control and force.  Do what we want or we’ll oppose you!  ICLEI is against liberty and sovereignty.  It needs to be ousted from your city today!  And watch for the “new ICLEI” that’s just more of the same!

When it comes to depriving people of their God-Given rights and liberties, Americans do not play with those who strive to deprive us of those rights and liberties…and it does not matter which side of the political aisle we are on.
It’s up to citizens of other nations to stand up for themselves if they don’t want to be considered sheep.
