In 1811-12, southeastern Missouri was the site for several serious earthquakes, centered near the town of New Madrid.  Thankfully, nothing like that has happened in the ground since then but what happened in Dent County, Missouri, not far from the New Madrid epicenter, might be the Agenda 21 equivalent of the political earthquake that occurred in this nation when the Carroll County (MD) Commissioners voted to leave ICLEI and renounce sustainability/Agenda 21.  Ready to ring the bell of liberty?

Before the Carroll County terramoto, activists who dared speak against Agenda 21 and ICLEI were laughed out of their local government chambers and invited to try on aluminum foil hats.  BUT afterwards, nobody’s laughing anymore!  Several communities have now voted OUT of ICLEI (although not all renounced sustainability) and maybe as many as 39 others have quietly acted.  The prairie fire is spreading to such places as Clallam County, Washington and several communities in California!

Now a local government in Missouri has spoken out to say NO to Agenda 21 and refused to join a regional sustainability pact; this will prevent a grant form being sought by the regional body:  Dent County:

Here’s highlights from their letter (as reported by Henry Lamb at World Net Daily and also re-reported at Before It’s News):

A Sept. 26 letter to Bonnie Prigge, executive director of the MRPC, begins: “The Dent County Commissioners this morning voted unanimously and without reservation NOT to sign the Memorandum of Agreement for the Sustainable Development Consortium as requested by the MRPC. …”

The letter continues:

“This Sustainable Development Program of HUD, DOT, and EPA is directly, and irrefutably connected with the United Nations Agenda 21. Both President Bill Clinton and most recently President Barack Obama have signed executive orders directing all agencies of the Federal Government to work with state and local community governments in a joint effort to ‘reinvent’ government using the guidelines outlined in the United Nations Agenda 21. The tenets of Agenda 21 undermine private property rights and propose extreme environmental, social, economic and educational policies to be implemented worldwide by National, State and Local governing bodies through the use of Sustainable Development planning, programs and policies.”

I am astounded!  Did the Dent County Commissioners actually write this letter?  THEY DID!  I have confirmation from the Salem News online:

Dent County Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles says the proposal would undermine private property rights and propose extreme environmental, social, economic and educational policies. These polices would be implemented worldwide by national, state and local governmental bodies through the use of Sustainable Development planning, programs and policies.

“The Dent County Commission is strongly opposed to the Socialist and Capitalist agenda of this UN program and is very disappointed that MRPC is willing to participate in it,” according to a letter that will be sent to MRPC officials.

Presiding Commissioner Darryl Skiles is my hero this week!  Let’s all send emails or messages of support to the Dent County Commission (I’ll track back this blog entry to them through the Chamber of Commerce!) and show them they are heroes of liberty and sovereignty!  May other communities follow up.  Starve the beast!  Beat ICLEI!  RING THE BELL OF LIBERTY and SOVEREIGNTY!

Here is the address and phone number of the Dent County Commission!  Encourage them to stand firm.
