Joseph Kennedy Running In Massachusetts Senate Race For Ted Kennedy Seat

How cool is that? Long time Democrats still have the option to vote for a Kennedy to replace Teddy. And aptly named Joseph Kennedy no less, sharing his name with the Patriarch of the Kennedy family.

How many Mass. Democrats will venture to the polls and vote for a Kennedy as they have for all these many years, instead of Democrat Coakley.

And won’t they be shocked when they find that this Joe Kennedy is not related to Ted Kennedy, or any of the other members of the political dynasty. In fact, this Kennedy is a Libertarian.

While I hate to cast generalizations on our friends in the city that invented the Tea Party protests, electing Ted Kennedy for so many years does not place these voters in the higher IQ section of the bleachers. And voting for Barney Frank only reinforces the lack of attention to detail.

Perhaps those expecting another drunken, out of control womanizing liberal will learn to pay attention if their votes are miscast for the most conservative person on the ballot are the difference in Republican Brown winning the seat most left.

But it is certainty a delicious irony of politics, it it not?

    Mississippi? Without a doubt.

    Alabama? Inevitable.

    Texas? A foregone conclusion.

Having said that, I refuse to believe that – given all that the GOP has done to this once-great nation in the past decade – the good people of Massachusetts would be stupid enough to send a Republican to Washington at this point in our history.

I'm sorry but I just refuse to believe it.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
