Karl Rove: Misogynist or Obsessed with Power?

In one of the most jaw dropping moments in Fox News history, Sean Hannity and Karl Rove had what can only be described as a bizarre exchange.  Hannity has always looked up to Rove and his admired his insight and knowledge of all things political. Not quite the tingling leg syndrome, but close.

But when Rove laid into Christine O’Donnell on Hannity’s show, you could see years of admiration for Rove evaporate as Rove spewed on and on about how O’Donnell can’t win in November.

Well, with attacks from Republican power brokers like Rove, that may become a self fulfilling prophecy.

Rove tossed stink bombs at O’Donnell and really showed himself to be either a misogynistic moron or a power obsessed bureaucratic insider watching his power slip away.

It hits home seeing this exchange. Then you realize that Karl Rove, the Architect, as Hannity like to call him, was at the center of the failures of George W. Bush. With puppeteers like Rove pulling the strings, it’s no wonder that the Progressive wing of the Democrat Party seemed like a better alternative to the voters than the power obsessed elitists like Rove.

For Republicans, it was an eye opener. More than that, it was a moment of Epiphany. Karl Rove is representative of all that is wrong with the Republican Party. As long as there is an “R” after the name and a lead in the polls, their voting record does not matter to people like Rove.

The good people of Delaware had a different point of view. A candidate’s voting record is all that matters.

President Obama is jetting around the country giving stump speech after stump speech telling voters they do not want to go back to the failed policies of the 8 years under President Bush.

The Conservative reformation of the Republican Party will ensure that Republicans once again become fiscally conservative. You know, those radical right wing nut jobs that believe in free enterprise, lower taxes and personal freedom.

People like Karl Rove ushered in the ruinous faction of the Republican Party that drove the car into the ditch in the first place. And given Rove’s methods, Obama’s warning would be correct.

But those of us that believe fiscal conservatism and smaller government would have prevented the financial meltdown that happened under Bush would also prefer that the Democrats remain in control of any liberal, big government Senate so the voters will be able to eventually figure out irresponsible spending is the problem, not the solution.

But those of us that believe in fiscal conservatism and smaller government are also well aware that Christine O’Donnell can win in November and gives America the best opportunity to recover what is left of the country and put us back on the road to the real American Dream.

Ann Coulter had Rove pegged years ago. In 2005 she said, “If Ronald Reagan were running today, Rove would have Bush endorse Reagan’s opponent. Establishment Republicans all pretend to have seen Reagan’s genius at the time, but that’s a crock. They wanted to dump Reagan in favor of “electable” Gerald Ford and “electable” George Herbert Walker Bush.”

Yea. Just one of those things. You would HOPE that the people who are the “architects” of the party’s successes would at least have a token concern for the direction of the country. Karl seems to expend all of his energy on simply getting in power. As we have seen, he is clueless on how to do a good job and actually KEEP the people in office – without destroying the party in the process.

Both Rove and Newt are good old boys of the Republican Party and each is becoming more irrelevant as time goes on. Rove’s ranting makes him look like a complete fool.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
