Liberal Media Mute on Acorn Filmmaker Arrest Because they Failed To Report the Acorn Story

Ha! Censorship does backfire!

James O’Keefe, the filmmaker who pretended to be a pimp and exposed Acorn for the corrupt and despicable organization that they are may have gone a bridge too far.

He and some friends visited the offices of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu and attempted to get jiggy with her phones. Landrieu is a US Senator and no matter how you feel about her taking a $300 Million bribe for her Health Care Reform vote, that’s some serious bad Mojo he attempted to perpetrate on the US Senate’s very own version of a Cajun Marie Laveau.

Voudou bad!

But I find the most interesting aspect of this case is that Olbermann and Matthews along with all the other lefty media that ignored the Acorn scandal now find themselves with a story that they would so love to rub in Conservative’s faces, but the fact that they ignored the Acorn story makes it hard to crow about this hated Filmmaker’s fall over the edge.

What can they say?

“The Conservative filmmaker who exposed the fraud at Acorn which we totally ignored …”

If only they had actually reported the news they could have a field day with this.

Well, I first heard this story from CNN yesterday afternoon. I don't think that's very "mute" (I also wouldn't call CNN part of the liberal media, PPP seems to support that).

Between FoxNews, CNN and MSNBC, I would put CNN in the middle. Left of center, to be sure. If we go on pure news content, the way the stories are written and what gets reported, FoxNews is the most non-partisan. They just put it out there. CNN omits hard news that is unflattering to the left and has a tendency to slant other news items more favorable to the left. MSNBC is simply an arm of the Liberal wing of the Democratic party. Maddow and Olbermann report news the news and put their spin on it during their shows. FoxNews, by way of contrast, has a news anchor that DOES NOT have an opinion show do the news during Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck etc. Shepard Smith DOES read the news on his show and it is more or less an opinion show, but Shep is a gay Democrat. His is probably the only slanted news delivery on Fox. And it slants left.

Now a quick look around the web sites of the three Cable News players at the time this was written showed Fox to be the only one that carried it. As of this morning (Saturday) it is still linked on the FoxNews front page. It is nowhere to be found on CNN or MSNBC. And if you want a first hand demonstration of the bias, go to the three sites and search for the filmmaker by name. James O'Keefe.

MSNBC shows three stories in their database, all 3 concerning the arrest in a Senator's office. Not one story on the Acorn Sting. VERY Biased.

At CNN, there are some stories about the Baltimore tape, but by looking at their site, you would have no clue there were many tapes in many cities. The search turns up 3 pages, but only page 1 has stories on O'Keefe. There are 2 stories on thew arrest, and 5 others. In one, Acorn sues the filmmaker, in 3 others, the tapes are barely mentioned, but reform, training and funding are the main subject.

Finally, on FoxNews, over 40,000 hits. Most of the first page is all about his arrest.:

Fox covered the story extensively when it was against Acorn, and are not hiding one thing in this idiotic adventure by this young man.

CNN's reporting is very lopsided, and MSNBC is 100% biased on this.

Mute is absolutely the correct term with MSNBC and comparing CNN to Fox, the coverage at CNN rounds to mute.

For the life of me, I really can't understand why so many people believe Fox is the biased one. I guess because the biased networks say so.

Like I said, if you watch Beck or Hannity you will not find a lot of love for Obama or the liberals. But these are opinion shows. MSNBC has absolutely no reporting that is not spin and bias. If you must watch one of the liberal biased news channels, CNN is more likely to only leave out the most unflattering reports, but only if they can get by with it.

Well, in regards to the FOX query, FOX News linked to the entire web in their search query, not just their articles. That's why you see links to AP and other News Agencies when searching FOX News.

Well, I do believe Fox does the least partisan slant by accurately showing both sides of the story, I believe CNN does a better job of not being Balanced but True. Their is a truth in a story, and parading around 2 people trying to cover up lies for their side of the story doesn't help anybody understand the news any better. I really wish the main cable news networks operated more like the Business networks. Factual. To the Point. Un-biased. Getting you the facts. CNBC and Fox Business do a pretty good job with that, but that should be the operating model of the industry.

The main cable networks have different priorities. Fox is obviously reporting. CNN is more investigative and analytical. MSNBC is more opinion and reaction. At least that's the way I seem to gather it.
