The MP election yesterday was astounding:  Labour won as expected but the surprise is the second place finish of the UKIP canddiate.  The UKIP beat the Tories, the LibDems (who fell to SIXTH place), and the BNP!

Here’s the results from ConservativeHome:

Dan Jarvis (Lab) 14,724 (60.80%, +13.53%)
Jane Collins (UKIP) 2,953 (12.19%, +7.53%)
James Hockney (C) 1,999 (8.25%, -9.01%)
Enis Dalton (BNP) 1,463 (6.04%, -2.90%)
Tony Devoy (Ind) 1,266 (5.23%, +3.58%)
Dominic Carman (LD) 1,012 (4.18%, -13.10%)

I am greatly encouraged; this is a solidly Labour district.  However, it is not enough to win a moral victory.  I would suggest that this is a message to the Tory Party:  Better stand for UK sovereignty and liberty.  I am also glad the UKIP is now the leading anti-EU party and is driving the BNP out of business.
