I saw two interesting articles about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R- SC):
Here’s one by Daniel Horowitz where apparently he said on one of the Sunday talk shows that the Congress should “shut up” about Libya. Horowitz echoes what I said about 2014:
As for Lindsey Graham, 2014 cannot come soon enough. There is no reason we should be saddled with him until he reaches McCain’s age. Can’t we do better than that in the state of Jim DeMint and Nikki Haley?
It’s time for an American Spring – a time of spring cleaning, when we pledge to repeal and replace every liberal Republican, especially those who purport to speak for conservatives. Let’s tell Lindsey Graham to shut up.
I agree! Let’s start now. In South Carolina. Who’ll run in a primary against Graham? Has to be a serious contender. I know who’d I nominate: Jack Hunter the Southern Avenger. But I’d settle for Governor Haley or the fine new Congressman from the First District, Tim Scott! Surely there are others.
Here is Mark Steyn at NRO:
It’s hard to win a war when you don’t have war aims, and, as I wrote in National Review a couple of weeks back, America has gotten into the habit of unwon wars — in part because a buffoon like Graham and his dictatorial air miles are what passes for geostrategic “expertise” in Washington.
I would not call any Senator a “buffoon” or say “shut up”; but I agree with the criticism. If we stay out of feel-good wars (it started with Serbia) and find ways to reduce bases and troop strengths, we can save money on defense WITHOUT sacrificing a strong national defense.

If the ideals of conservatism are Jim DeMint and Nikki Haley, give me Graham anytime. And Jack Hunter> Unreal!
Sorry we disagree, Cecil but thanks for coming by!
