More Shameless Last Minute Sarvis Smears

The Blaze is accusing Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidate Robert Sarvis of being a Democrat Plant to steal votes from Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

It seems someone who has bundled donations for Obama in the past has helped get Sarvis on the ballot. So Cuccinelli supporters immediately jump to the conclusion that Sarvis must be some sort of Democratic Conspiracy.

All this proves is that Democrats find Sarvis’ Social policies appealing and want to give him money. If you love to smoke pot, Sarvis is your candidate.

Sarvis will take votes from Democrats and Republicans.

There are a lot of voters that simply refuse to vote for politicians who are on the take.

I’m one of those.

Had Ken Cuccinelli told Jonnie Williams to take a hike instead of accepting $18,000 from a man trying to get out of paying Virginia the $1.7 million he owes I would be out working the polls right now. Cuccinelli may not have done anything after the skids were greased, but that is irrelevant.

He still took the loot.

And Terry McAuliffe is as on the take as it gets.

Robert Sarvis presents voters with the option of casting a vote for someone who has not used his political position for personal enrichment.

I may not agree with him on all points, but his honesty has not been challenged.

You guys are really stretching it! To say longtime Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler Joe Liemandt is giving money to Sarvis because he finds his social policies appealing is lunacy. You’re bending over backwards to protect the illusion that you made the right call.

    • Bruce Majors says:

Sarvis raised and spent $80000 and the libertarian Purple PAC raised and spent $300,000 on his radio and TV ads.

Of the 80,000 Sarvis raised, he gave his own campaign $20,000 and this Democrat gave him $10,000

So you are saying the $10,000, less than 3%, bought and created the Safvis campaign.

Which means you are really saying Republicans can’t do arithmetic and will buy any lie put out by the consultants who milk them for money and deliver losing campaigns.

Things are only a smear if they aren’t true. For instance, it’s literally impossible to smear Terry McAuliffe. All the despicable things said about him came from his own mouth.

    Sarvis was poorly vetted…..obviously!

  3. Mike Wilburt says:

Here is a story from Virginia Virtucon.
This entry explains the way it appears Sarvis was being used as a Democrat sponsored tool to slice enough votes from Cuccinelli to ensure McAuliffe gets elected. I believe it.

I understand Tom’s defense of his favored candidate. But I believe Tom unwittingly went along with the McAuliffe/Obama/Clinton/Democrat ploy to take Virginia from purple to blue.

    1) How long has Beck been sitting on this? Why today?
    2) Why is it only news when the left pulls it off?
    3) In fact, why is it news ? What laws or rules where broken?
    4) What about Nader and Bush tag teaming Gore in 2000?
    5) Who cares?

I am so glad that Al Jazera got their own network instead of Beck!!!!!

  5. Bow says:

My summary of last nights vote and almost every election since ratification of the Constitution in 1787.

Give a fool a rope and he will hang himself, Give a fool the right to vote and he will hang everyone.

  6. Bruce Majors says:

This guy gave $10,000 to the Sarvis campaign. Sarvis gave $20,000 of his own money (you can even see that in the link in the Blaze article) and then raised $50,000 in other smaller donations.

Then the former Cato staff at the Purple PAC spent $300,000 independently on radio and TV ads.

    So this $10,000 is nothing.

And the Virginia Libertarian Party always gets a gubernatorial candidate on the ballot, last time Bill Redpath of Leesburg.

So it is simply a desperate lie to say an Obama bundler got Sarvis on the ballot.

    It’s denial.

Your way of not ditto g how badly you ran the campaign until the last few days.
