NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN MECHANICSVILLE AT HISTORIC POLEGREEN CHURCH!

The National Day of Prayer celebration here in Mechanicsville is set for the historic Polegreen Church at 530pm on Thursday, May 5, 2011.  There will be a short ceremony in the structure followed by prayer stations where private or corporate prayer will be available.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  II Cor. 7:14 (KJV)

We have many reasons to seek God’s face:  Erosion of moral values, high divorce rate, abuse of spouses and children, crime, the economy, upcoming elections, erosion of sovereignty, wars and rumors of wars, terrorism, personal reasons such as disease and hardship.  Come out next Thursday and seek the face of the eternal and merciful God!  (For more on how to have an eternal relationship with God through Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, go here!)
