This latest poll (here’s the Politico story) shows that the Sarvis vote is not going away, just in time for the first TV ads of the Libertarian (I would add: Do make sure you also use the cheaper radio ads too!) to come out!
McAuliffe, the former national Democratic Party chairman, is now 9 points ahead of Cuccinelli, the current state attorney general, in a race that also includes Libertarian nominee Robert Sarvis. In the survey, McAuliffe drew support from 44 percent of Virginians versus 35 percent for Cuccinelli and 12 percent for Sarvis.
This is an unusually large poll of likely voters. I think it speaks well for the Sarvis surge and how his vote seems at this point still solid. It’s not too late for both sensible Democrats and Republicans to come on board the independent Libertarian. It only took one poll in Minnesota in 1998 showing Ventura at 25% to break the “he cannot win” perception. If Sarvis gets in the Oct 24 debate, and we should know in a few days, and can do a media blitz after the debate, we may have that 25% poll. What I’d like to see is that poll and then the polling just before the election showing Sarvis ahead of both major party candidates and the surge will leave to VICTORY in November!

Life will go on and we will respect the decision of the voters… no matter whether we agree with it or not.
Well said Jeff.
