The New York Post, founded by Alexander Hamilton, is a great alternative to the OTHER NYC paper!  Way behind Sandy at Virginia Right of course (so is almost everybody else in the US) but they are catching up nicely!

Well, well. Opportunity knocks — and with the broad smile of Nigel Farage, leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party: The UKIP has stunned just about everyone by eclipsing both Labor and the Conservatives in the elections for a new European Parliament.

But will Republicans here answer the knock?

They’re worried about taxes, over-regulation, the loss of their sovereignty.

This ought to be made to order for a Republican Party looking for opportunities to make friends across the pond.

Seems to me that this is an opening for Ambassador John Bolton.  But that’s another story.  The Post is reporting that two former Obama operatives are helping Labour (David Axelrod) and the Tories (Jim Messina) respectively.  That is one of the best evidences of Tweedledee and Tweedledum I know.  But the Post asks this:

One of them is Marine Le Pen, scion of the rightist French party known as the Front Nationale. Farage has rejected her overtures, saying, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, that her party had “anti-Semitism and general prejudice in its DNA.”

Good for Farage. He’s not a hater. He wants out of a Europe that is crawling with them, from Hungary to Italy to the Netherlands.

So why doesn’t someone in the Republican Party — Paul Ryan, say, or Chris Christie or Rand Paul or Ted Cruz — reach out and give him a hand?

So, where is the leading Republican to help Nigel Farage and UKIP?  I know a certain visionary Virginia blogger who could help!  He’s got missions trips to go to:  Zimbabwe, Chile, Nicaragua again, maybe Poland or Estonia?  I’d come cheap!

But let’s admit it:  Sandy’s not prominent enough.  So who should help Nigel Farage?  Someone should.  If the UKIP Leader called me (I’d be useless at work for the rest of the day!) I’d recommend this guy – the Demon Sheep guy (Fred Davis).  Davis is a Tesla of political ads.

UKIP is the hottest thing in liberty since that Great Unpleasantness back in ’76.  Let’s get behind Farage.  He could be a Reagan for our times.
