Now That Governor Perry is Out of the Race – CNN Should Let Governor Jim Gilmore IN!

I am a bit sorry that former Texas Governor Rick Perry has suspended his Presidential campaign – he had some things to say and was generally a good ambassador for Texas.  But he perhaps should not have run with the pending felony charges in his home state.

But now there’s a spot in the CNN September 16 Presidential Debate vacated by Perry.

The former Virginia governor met the 1 percent voter-support threshold in just one of the three polls that CNN used to determine the field for the debates. A sort of semifinalist debate will be broadcast at 6 p.m. featuring Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal and George Pataki.

This ought to be filled by the one candidate not originally invited:  Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore!  I don’t know if CNN will read this post or not but they ought to replace Perry with Gilmore.

Get Boyd Marcus from Gilmore’s staff on this right away. That mental “giant” should surely be able to make this happen, just like his payoff of getting on the Tobacco Commission for supporting McAuliffe happened, right?

  2. Cruz Supporter says:

One more time, Jim Gilmore is a straw man candidate for Bush. Let me explain it slowly:
On March 1st in Virginia, Bush wins Virginia with Gilmore and a Ted Cruz on the Ballot.

In NJ, Chris Christie is the straw man. In Arkansas, Mike Huckabee is the straw man. In New York, Pataki is the straw man. In South Carolina, LIndsey Graham is the Straw Man. Scott Walker is the straw man in Wisconsin. Jindal is the straw man in Louisiana. Perry was the straw man in Texas. In Ohio, Kasich is the straw man and the VEEP candidate for Bush.

See how this works? The strategy is to keep a conservative like Cruz or a Libertarian like Rand Paul from winning the nomination. That’s what raising $100 million dollars can do for the Bush Dynasty.
Weren’t you curious when 17 candidates got in the race for the Republican nomination?

Vote Trump! or Cruz on March 1st in Virginia.

  3. Trump Voter says:

Ditto on previous comment. The GOP “straw man” plan was hatched when Rand Paul was thought to be the Libertarian-Populist alternative to Jeb for the nomination. The Bilderberg Industrial War Complex- WallStreet Crooks didn’t want an isolationist -End the FED and IRS candidate to become the nominee.

No one ever saw “The Donald” Coming and it ruined their “straw man” plan to propel Jeb to the nomination.

The Silent Majority isn’t Silent any longer. Trump had 20,000 supporters show up at the arena in Dallas last night. The man has MoJo and no one can stop the Trump Train.

Gilmore did one thing for Virginia and that was the car tax. Wahoo. He like the rest of VAs governors are zero. Every year they added to the size and scope of government. Taxes did not decrease even with the car tax. They grew. The size of our government has grown disproportionately with the growth of the population. He knows as much about the inner workings of the bureaucracy as I do about flying a rocket to the moon. He needs a rocking chair to sit and watch the grass grow.
