Poll: GOP Gets The Blame In Shutdown

Seriously? That’s the news NPR gets out of this poll?

They may blame the GOP a bit more, but then they sample more Democrats, too.

People are seeing that Obama is a miserable excuse for a president and most don’t like the job he is doing. NPR still has his back, though.

How about the drop that you buried?

Your Republicans dropped 10% also, to what 27-28%? And your fabled Cruz missile? Rafael Cruz at 16%???

We have a wonderful and smart President. According to the polls the most popular political figure in Washington, by far.

In spite of your lies and deceptions, the “Real Council” spoke last November, not some bunch of “merchants of hatred”. Unfortunately, there are those who are apparently deaf, and/or would prefer Communism to our Democracy.

Your message has no value. If it did, someone might advertise here! Not even a sex enhancement or tax cheat company is willing to advertise here?

Gotta go, the Republicans are starting to go into the “begging mode”. I really enjoy watching them squirm and beg for something!

    • Tom White says:

I have ads here. Have had them for years.

These are liberal push polls, Gene. They talk to far more Dems than Republicans in order to pretend people like Democrats. And they ask questions that tend to get the answers they want.

But Democrats are All liars. Obama said you can keep your insurance. That’s a lie.

He said the price would go down for everyone. It has gone up.

People hate Dems and Republicans equally. And Obama is to blame for the current mess. It is his job to work with Congress. The people spoke after Pelosi rammed Obamacare through and tossed the Democrats out. The DEMOCRATS received clear instructions – get rid of Obamacare.

They are not listening and will lose the Senate and the White House next if Republicans can get their act together and put someone like Mike Lee or Ted Cruz as the candidate to challenge Sea Hag Hillary. Jeesh. What a screeching harpie that one is!

Every poll that does not agree with your ideology, you call a liberal push poll. Yet, you use Republican sources and Republican push polls to try to justify your propaganda. Aren’t you using Right Wing push polls to try to stop ObamaCare? Are you telling every lie in the book to derail ObamaCare?

You call just about everyone else a liar. Yet, did you and Sandy both sign a written pledge to vote Republican? Hanover Republican Party Application? Then, when a Republican does not do what they say they will, or does not agree with your ideology, you use that as an excuse for voting or supporting someone else? It is pretty bad when your candidates are so corrupt, that their own people will not support them. Or, are you Lying to us? If you can make a pledge then break it, for whatever reason, why can’t your Governor McDonnell? I am sure that he created an excuse just like you do.

This is typical Republican politics. Do the total opposite of what they say they will. I have learned a lot about the Republicans in here. Basically, in here, a Republican believes that anything goes, every man for himself, lie about everything, anything is legal as long as you do not get caught. Money comes first! !

I used to think that people wanted all their guns and ammo to protect themselves from our government. Boy, was I wrong about that! People want all their guns to protect themselves from far Right, Communist tilted, lunatics!

Tell me, why do tax cheat companies advertise so heavily on Republican media? Why are sex enhancement products so heavily advertised on Republican media? Do these companies know where their market is? Are all Republicans impotent tax cheats? I’m just say in’

Where is this advertising you speak of? I see 2 Goole ads on the right side? Where is YOUR advertising?

    • Tom White says:

Gene – As usual, you are always a refreshing delight. I did not sign a pledge to vote for a Republican. I resigned from the Hanover Republican Committee because they are supporting RINO’s that are as bad as the Democrats. The same liars in fact.

Perhaps you don’t know what a push poll is. I put the description of a push poll in case Democrats read my post.

Now please provide an example of a Republican Push Poll question. I doubt you can because the left wing media would have already come out in droves to discredit any such attempt while ignoring the Democrat push polls.

These days, push polls are pretty rare. Most often you see a single candidate – usually for a local office – that makes calls to spread smears disguised as a poll. It is extremely rare to see a large national polling outfit that plans to be around after the current election do a push poll. The risk of damaging their reputation is too great.

I have documented PPP – which identifies themselves as Democrat pollsters – using sampling tricks – like doing a poll with 34% Dems and 34% Republicans showing a close race and doing a poll a week or so later sampling 44% Dems and 24% Repub’s and concluding there has been a big swing to the Democrat since the last poll. When the truth is, they sampled more Dems to get the answer they wanted. And the truth is, if you mathematically adjust the new poll, there is often actual movement towards the R’s.

Polls are only useful if they accurately measure public opinion. But some polls are done to provide data for a story they want to push out. That is what this is.

I gave an example of the push question. And provided links and examples. You need to find me an admitted R pollster and provide a link and the push question. Especially one that is lying.

My guns and ammo are to protect me from whatever threat I feel justified using lethal force against. My weapons remain concealed unless I need them. (And yes, I have a CCP.) But they are purely defensive. I’m a pretty big guy and that is often enough to keep anyone from attacking me in hand to hand combat. Besides, I’m also not the type of person anyone would want to get physical with. I’m very laid back. But I am quite capable of defending myself. But I am no threat to anyone that does not threaten me. But using a gun and carrying one are two completely different things. And most of the people I hang around with agree that we never want to use one except on the firing range. Well, some of my friends hunt and shoot guns in the woods. I don’t hunt. Tried it a couple of times and it wasn’t interesting to me.

Your obsession with ads is strange. I use Google ads to offset some of the cost of running my server. I am not against making money, but I don’t run this site to generate revenue. I work several jobs. I am a full time IT Manager, I own an Insurance Agency and I am a musician. I have a link if someone wants to buy an ad, and from time to time, people do. But I am not interested in spending my time soliciting ads. And I have a bit of a problem with some sites that run political ads and are paid by a candidate or party. You can become beholden to the advertisers and not be free to speak your mind.

And I am not sure what “tax cheats” you are talking about. Obama’s Treasury Secretary Tim Geitner – who is a Democrat – is the only one I know. And if you know of a company that is cheating on their taxes, the IRS has a hotline to let them know. You need to understand that while people on the right may believe that taxes are too high, the way to fix this is by changing the law. By changing politicians. Not by cheating or refusing to pay taxes. That is not how we roll.

Sex enhancement products? You mean like the “little blue pill”? You mentioned impotence. Treatment for impotence is not an enhancement. And I am sure party affiliation has nothing to do with dysfunction of this type.

But if I owned a company that manufactured or sold such items, I would probably choose the more conservative sites because if you advertise on a Democrat site you are just encouraging more out of wedlock welfare babies or more abortions. While Republican sites are geared towards more responsible people. Now if I owned a birth control company I would seek out left wing sites to stop them from breeding more kids I have to support – or more abortions that my tax dollars will pay for under Obamacare.

But if you are talking about things like whips and chains and S&M “toys” I would think that marketing those things to Republicans is probably a smart move. I doubt that they would be allowed to take Welfare Cards for payment and we all know most Democrat voters are on welfare. Which is why Obama is ruining the economy. More welfare = more Democrats no matter how bad he is. You guys love your free government stuff!

  3. Gene Lefty says:

You just got to be kidding? How many examples do you want? Just Google “Republican Push Poll”. If it is crooked, the Republicans are involved in it.

This is from WikipediA, I copied and pasted, legal as far I can tell in their terms of use. Would you like more?

“Perhaps the most famous use of push polls is in the 2000 United States Republican Party primaries, when it was alleged that George W. Bush’s campaign used push polling to torpedo the campaign of Senator John McCain. Voters in South Carolina reportedly were asked “Would you be more likely or less likely to vote for John McCain for president if you knew he had fathered an illegitimate black child?” This hypothetical question seemed like a suggestion, although without substance. It was heard by thousands of primary voters.[6] McCain and his wife had in fact adopted a Bengali girl. Bush had previously used push polls in his 1994 bid for Texas Governor against incumbent Ann Richards. Callers asked voters “whether they would be more or less likely to vote for Governor Richards if they knew that lesbians dominated on her staff.”[7]

In the 2008 general election, Jewish voters in Florida and Pittsburgh were targeted by a push poll attempting to disparage Barack Obama by linking him with the Palestinian Liberation Organization. The Jewish Council for Education & Research, an organization that endorsed Obama, denounced the push-poll as misinformation and lies.[8][9]

In the 2012 general election, a group calling itself “Catholics for Obama” made push poll phone calls asking “How can you support a ‘Mormon’ who does not believe in Jesus Christ?” “
