Palm Beach Post Misleading Headline: ‘Marco Rubio passes Jeb Bush in Florida poll’

So a new poll comes out and the Palm Beach Post prints the headline:

Marco Rubio passes Jeb Bush in Florida poll; Hillary Clinton weak

But the poll numbers tell a different story:

Trump leads with 31.5 percent, followed by Rubio at 19.2 percent, Bush at 11.3 percent, Carson at 10.3 percent and Fiorina at 8.3 percent.”

There are a lot of headlines that could have been more accurate on what the poll actually shows. “Trump Continues to Lead, Rubio Passes Bush in Fl Poll” would be one.

Also “New Poll shows Fiorina Still Far Behind Trump, Rubio, Bush and Carson.”

Trump more than doubles the polling numbers for any of the candidates. And he has a lead larger than Bush and Rubio combined.

An interesting observation, if Jeb Bush were to drop out of the race and all of his supporters move to Rubio, the race might be close. But Trump still leads.
