Rally Tomorrow – 2/3/2015 – At Va Capitol at 10AM – STOP THE CON CON

Do you see any issues with a Constitutional Convention to stop Federal overreach?

How about if you knew George Soros was in favor of it?

Opening the Constitution up to changes with promises of making things better is dangerous.

So what’s the worst that can happen?

I don’t know. Strike the Second Amendment? End freedom of religion and speech? Oh, yea. That is a possibility.

Watch this video and then show up tomorrow outside of the Capitol building at 10 AM (Feb 3, 2015).

Comments from Catherine Marshall, Delegate Marshall’s wife to a conservative delegate –

I honestly believe that as we enter into the 2016 Presidential election cycle, it is counterproductive for Republicans to be divided. I have heard the Convention of States folks say things like “elections cannot solve our nation’s problems” and this is a very dangerous message! Dictators would love to hear that! But even more important, DemocrIats are not dissing elections! They are out there community organizing, registering voters, walking door-to-door and passionately proclaiming their beliefs!

Further, I think it will be a hard sell come election time for Republicans who voted to ask Congress to call a Convention to amend — which means change — our Constitution! How many citizens do you know who want to change our Constitution? Meanwhile, the Democrats can brag that they were the ones voting to protect the Constitution from being changed at a national convention!

Whoever came up with this strategy to deep six Republicans in the next election is a genius, seriously. It might be interesting for you to know that it was shortly after the Republican Tea Party victories of 2010 that Mark Meckler, who was then head of the national Tea Party, was invited by leftist law professor Lawrence Lessig, to co-chair a Conference on Article V at Harvard University in 2011. Lessig wants public financed elections, works with Wolf-PAC and Young Turks (funded by Soros) and so far they have three Article V applications passed in three states: California, Illinois and Vermont, the same number of states that have passed the Convention of States Article V Applications! Meckler is head of “Citizens for Self-Governance” or CSG, the parent group of Mike Farris “Convention of States.” It did not take Meckler long to get on board with the Article V movement which the Left has been pushing for decades!

Enough of my soap box! Please feel free to share my comments with anyone else still undecided on how to vote. And the Balanced Budget Amendment Application is just as dangerous because it too opens up the Constitution to change at a Convention. As someone recently said, we can’t get a Republican majority in the Congress to do what they were elected to do. How would we be able to do any better with Con Con delegates?

Nothing would please the left more than opening the Constitution for amendment. Nothing could be more dangerous. The Constitution is the most ingenious plan for government of a free people ever devised by man. It doesn’t need changing, It needs to be “supported and defended” as sworn by everyone who ever took the oath of federal office.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
