Business Wire reports that TX Congressman Ron Paul came to Baton Rouge yesterday and the crowds exceeded expectations!
LAKE JACKSON, Texas, Sep 23, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul spoke to a capacity crowd in Baton Rouge at Louisiana State University’s Union Theater tonight.
The visit marked the first on-campus visit since the launch of his Youth for Ron Paul initiative, and it exceeded expectations with more than 1,250 LSU students, other youth and the at-large community.
Many young people resonate to the message of liberty and personal responsibility/opportunity and LSU is no different. The Louisiana HQ opening is no different:
The visit to LSU for the YFP event occurred immediately prior to Dr. Paul’s presiding over the grand opening celebration of his Louisiana state headquarters, also in Baton Rouge which drew an additional crowd of 700.
In other RP news, he will be on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show Monday night (watch for bad language) for the third time! Here is my prior blog entry on the Jon Stewart piece that skewered the MSM’s campaign to ignore Ron Paul.
Finally, the huge Florida Straw Poll will be conducted today and Paul should do well!
