THIS is OUTRAGEOUS! The MARK of the BEAST lookalike OUGHT NOT be in any US SCHOOL! This OUGHT to encourage UNBELIEVERS to REPENT, TOO – JESUS is coming AGAIN!

Thanks to the Louisiana Conservative Dot Com ( we have this chilling report from Calcasieu Parish (Lake Charles) Louisiana.

Apparently, this local elementary school has decided to implement a system to ensure that each child gets proper credit for lunch bought in the school cafeteria.  It was so startling that I needed confirmation.  Here is a report from a television station.  A highlight or two:

A local elementary school is trying to implement a new program in their cafeteria. But the palm vein scanner is being met with much opposition from Moss Bluff Elementary parents.

Yes, it is a device that scans the veins in a child’s PALM to determine the identity of the child and to make sure the right child’s account is accounted for.  From the letter sent by the principal of the Moss Bluff Elementary School:

The Fujitsu PalmSecure – Palm Vein Scanner sensor uses near-infrared to capture a person’s palm vein pattern, generated a unique biometric template that is matched against pre-registered user palm vein patterns.  The palm vein can only recognize the pattern if the blood is actively flowing through within the individual’s veins, which means that forgery is virtually impossible.

This is a type of the Mark of the Beast!

“And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”  (Revelation 13: 16-17 [KJV])

Thankfully, some parents in Calcasieu Parish know their Bible:

“I was very, very mad,” said parent Mamie Sonnier. “Disappointed.”

Many parents felt that way on Monday after reading a letter sent home with their children from Moss Bluff Elementary School. The letter introduced a new program, the palm vein scanner, to move students through the lunch line at a faster rate. With almost 1,000 students, Principal Charles Caldarera says the system will reduce errors.

Sonnier says she’s against the palm vein scanner because of her beliefs.

“As a Christian, I’ve read the Bible, you know go to church and stuff,” said Sonnier. “I know where it’s going to end up coming to, the mark of the beast. I’m not going to let my kids have that.”

The school will allow a opt-out option but the parents must state their intention by tomorrow (Wednesday, August 15).  I think they should immediately do one other thing:  Contact the superintendent and the school board and protest this outrage.

By the way, a similar biometric ID card was proposed by two senators for every legal worker in the United States!  See these blog entries!  From the Denver Post:

A bipartisan proposal, pitched by Sens. Charles Schumer and Lindsey Graham, to require biometric Social Security cards has the potential to remedy those problems. Such a credential would include an identifier, such as a fingerprint, to positively connect the card to the person presenting it.

Let me state my position clear:  NO BIOMETRIC ID CARD!  PERIOD!  Every evangelical Christian needs to say NO to this kind of thing.

Finally, if you are skeptical about the Bible ask yourself this:  How did the Apostle John (or whoever you think wrote Revelation 2000 years ago!) know about this type of technology?  How did he know that someday all buying and selling would be controlled by technology.  How did he know?  Maybe God told him!  If God did it – we better believe it!

Revelation also predicts the eternal fate of every human being:  Some to heaven and some, maybe many to Hell:

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  *  *  *  And I John saw holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”  [Revelation 20:15, 21:2-3 (KJV)]

It is not God’s will that any perish but that all come to eternal life in Jesus Christ!  (See II Peter 3:9)   I urge you to reconsider the claims of Jesus Christ.  If you want to know more, go to this site right away.

If palm scan is the mark of the beast, it may get stopped in school if a great number of people stand up against it. That’s only if a whole lot more people are against it than whose all for it! Right now its best to try to stop it, because it’s something new, which makes it weak and vulnerable. For, parent’s and guardian’s may not be so willing to accept it. However, I’m afraid now that they’ve got this new technology, if they can’t use it in the school’s, they will certainly use it elsewhere! Furthermore, regardless if it’s the mark of the beast or not, for God’s will be done. 🙂

  2. Thanks for coming by Sme. I did not say it was the mark of the beast but that it is a type of the MOTB. It ought to be stopped. Yes Revelation will come true but we do not have to sit passively by and let what we know is evil happen. Biometric ID is evil and ought to be illegal in the USA (except for special occasions like the CIA etc.) and that law would be like the canary in the cage that was used to determine if the miners could enter the mine safely.

Let’s be reasonable here, a few comments:

    A) If you’re going to oppose this so strongly, offer an alternative. There appears to be a problem with kids either not getting proper credits/reimbursements, likely hurting parents who need help the most. So, there’s a tracking issue and this is meant as a solution. If you disagree with the solution, then offer an alternative OR propose that we accept the losses as preferable to this technology.

But don’t put them to task for being inefficient AND also tell them not to use tools that increase efficiency.

    B) Would it be too much trouble for the parent to have her kids left hand scanned? If we’re going to take this literally, then it has to be the right hand to be Revelation. If we’re going to take it conceptually, then the literal translation doesn’t mean as much and we can go about our merry way.

    C) My most scathing comment, but it needs to be said:

“Finally, if you are skeptical about the Bible ask yourself this: How did the Apostle John (or whoever you think wrote Revelation 2000 years ago!) know about this type of technology? How did he know that someday all buying and selling would be controlled by technology. How did he know? Maybe God told him! If God did it – we better believe it!”

That line being used DOES NOT equate with this technology, this is a leap that is being made to try and further an argument. The same kind of “mark” could be made with willfully scarring/branding (i.e. the evil beast would in quite literally brand everyone with the noted mark) or tattooing. So it doesn’t need to equate to this technology. We’ve already seen this in the past, where tattoos are used to identify people, and the folks of that era couldn’t have predicted this technology. Which brings me to:

    D) To lay out the concern: “This scanner puts a mark for commerce, which it mentions in the Bible.” This is an incorrect statement. The scanner reads EXISTING marks. So, anyone who has the “Mark” would already have it today as it’s part of the veins in their palm.

In summary, there is zero reason for this kind of emotional response to this article. The mother, and the author, are overreacting.

  4. Thanks to N. for coming by! My only criticism I will consider is I did place two ideas together and I am not sorry I did it but it could be more persuasive separately.

The Mark of the Beast is mentioned in Revelation. Most if not all scholars suggest John wrote Revelation about 100 AD. How did he know about this modern technology? It would have been foolish to the point of insanity to suggest no one could buy or sell without this mark. Now the technology is nearly here.

There are other means to ensure no fraud or mistake. Biometric methods are not necessary in this situation.

I did not say it WAS the Mark of the Beast, it is a type of the MOTB. And it is. That ought to be gainsaid without debate.

I have already suggested this prophecy from the Bible is incredible absent this being inspired by God. I do agree implicitly no one can prove faith. But it is a sign to ponder. What if the Bible is right? I better be sure – either yes or no. The stakes are awefully high.

I agree with point four – that may have been a slight misstatement. But it does not deny the point of the article.

Finally, since you have been frank with me I will be frank with you: You have not given the readers your faith viewpoint and frankly it is none of my business but I urge you to consider the claims of Jesus as Lord and God. Was He raised from the dead? If not, what happened? Either the disciples took the body or the enemies of Christ did. The enemies of Christ actually (according to the Bible account) had the tomb guarded by Roman soldiers. If they stole the body, they would have produced it after Pentecost and killed the Church. If the disciples stole the body, then they died for a KNOWING lie. Ten of the eleven reminding Apostles died as martyrs (Judas betrayed Jesus and John apparently died a natural death and I do not know what happened to Matthias, appointed to replace Judas) It is super to have the peace of God through Jesus Christ. He will be with you in your trials and troubles and in your joys too! Taste and see if the Lord is good, the psalmist said! Thanks N. for coming by and come again.
