That’s the Ticket!

The three winners at the 2009 Virginia Republican Convention stand ready to initiate the Republican comeback beginning with Virginia in November, 2009 and culminating with the US House, Senate and the White House in 2012.

Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling and Ken Cuccinelli are the ticket that will lead Virginians to the road to retake the country. Bob McDonnell who was the Virginia Attorney General until he stepped down to run for Governor was the party’s nominee going into the convention and faced no competition. Bill Bolling is the current Lt. Governor and faced only token opposition in his bid for reelection. State Senator Ken Cuccinelli faced competition from John Brownlee and David Foster. Cuccinelli was obviously the crown favorite with a large number of delegates cheering and waving signs and banner flags.

Patrick Muldoon was the first to come out and make a motion that the convention nominate Bill Bolling for Lt. Governor. Muldoon said he plans to vote for Bolling, the current and next Lt. Governor of Virginia.

Next out were John Brownlee and David Foster, both candidates for Attorney General wearing Cuccinelli stickers on their jackets. Each moved that Senator Cuccinelli be named as party nominee for Attorney General.

The three nominees and their families came on stage to the cheers and shouts of a Republican Party in complete unity behind the three nominees that will be elected to the State’s top three offices on November 3, 2009.

Thus begins the Republican comeback!
