YEA for BILL JANIS! I’LL sign up to HELP!

I do not live in the 12th Senatorial District but if I did I would vote on June 9 for former Delegate Bill Janis.  Here’s why:

1.  Janis is a solid conservative.  I am listening to Bill on the John Fredericks show and he seems solid to me.

2.  Janis is not born in VA and I say Rah for that!  It’s okay to have outsiders come here (I am a native of North Carolina) and we can also serve our adopted state.

3.  Janis is a man of faith.  I heard him in January 2011 speak to a largely African-American audience in support of Terry Beatley who was trying to convince blacks that they are being used by such groups by Planned Parenthood.  Bill gave a eloquent confession of faith mixed with his interest in the inner city.  (I have never met Janis by the way.)

4.  I agree with Janis about the Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney race.  I also agree that the Commonwealth Attorney ought to be beyond party.  He was courageous to run as an independent and it is a shame that he did not win.

5.  Janis is singing my song on public service.  “In life we’re not called to be successful, we’re called to be faithful.”  This is essentially what I told the senate committee that interviewed me for judge.

I know that there may be several other great candidates.  It’s great to see good candidates run.  But I am for Bill Janis in the 12th.  This is not a blog endorsement but it is an enthusiastic personal one.

  1. Scott Dailey says:

Every establishment Republican sounds solidly “conservative” when he’s running for office. They are all for limited government, fewer taxes, yadda, yadda, yadda, and then they get elected, e.g. our esteemed former governor (and present felon) McDonnell, the “solid conservative” who pledged no new taxes, then passed the largest tax increase in Virginia history.

I don’t believe them anymore. Dig deeper than the campaign promises and KNOW who you are voting for.

Well said, Scott. I have not checked carefully his prior voting record. Is there any evidence Janis was recreant to the conservative cause while he was delegate? But we all must choose who we like. I like Janis.

Thanks Scott for coming by. Sandy

    Mr. Sanders-

Although I don’t know you personally, from your extensive writings I always assumed you to be conservative with Libertarian leanings.

Might I suggest you consider all the candidates in the District 12 Senate race before you endorse a candidate from a radio interview. Your senator ( and mine) in the 4th District is Ryan McDougle so I am perplexed by your Endorsement of a candidate in the 12th Senate District. You might focus your energy in Identifying a Candidate to replace OUR SENATOR who revealed his shallow depth of our founding by supporting a Convention of States Article V Convention. McDougle was actually the Patron of a the Senate bill proposing the Constitution be gutted so the Left can take away our gun rights- and weaken the 2nd Amendment. McDougle needs to be DEFEATED. Repeal and REPLACE McDougle- not the Constitution.

You’ve alienated your VA Right fans and readers in Western Hanover who live in the 12th District with this article. I was contacted by family who told me the conservative GOPers, The Patriots, LIbertarians, and Tea Party conservatives in South Anna and Beaverdam Districts with the Congressman Brat volunteers who call themselves the Brat Packers are supporting Vince Haley, not Eddie Whitlock, Bill Janis, or Wayne Hazzard. Bill Janis is a taxer and spender who worked with Mark Warner to pass tax increases when he served in the GA as the Delegate from Henrico County. You need to do your homework on his past record. A politician’s past voting record is an indicator of his future voting record.

You should be more informed before you write endorsements- Stay in your LANE next time.

I agree with Mr. Green Jeans, please stay in your OWN lane. As a 12th District resident and grassroots activist, I am offended by your endorsement of someone you just heard on a radio program. Do your homework next time. Bill Janis was “conveniently” absent for an important vote on transportation when he was a Delegate in the House. He ran as an Independent backed by the Cantor machine, who was behind the slating off of Conservatives, Libertarians and TEA Party activists. He is a personal friend of Ray Allen and has used him as a consultant in the past. While he is currently not using Allen, those ties run deep. He had a come to Jesus meeting when Dave Brat won the US Congressional seat and all of a sudden his tune changed. Again, do your homework and mind your own business!

I think, especially in light of the telephone call I had with Bill Janis Friday I will do a new post tonight on this issue. Stay tuned. I’ll give you a hint: I am not “staying in my own lane.”

Thanks to Mr. Green Jeans and Anita Hile for coming by and reading and commenting on this post.
