Republican Grassroots Insanity Continues: Establishment Wins

Yesterday, The United States Senate voted to confirm Establishment Republican and President Obama favorite Loretta Lynch as Attorney General. Republican Senator, 2016 Presidential hopeful, and TEA Party darling Senator Ted Cruz railed against her nomination on the Senate floor yesterday morning and voted against bringing her nomination to a vote. The process is known as cloture. 66 members of the Senate voted to bring Lynch’s nomination to a vote.

Twenty Republican Senators voted for cloture, which was the only vote that mattered, since it was a foregone conclusion that if brought to a vote, Lynch would be confirmed.

cruzToday, Rand Paul’s social media machine surrogates are pushing a Huffington Post article and insinuating that Ted Cruz didn’t have the courage to vote against Loretta Lynch’s nomination. The Huffington Post article, to its’ credit, did distinguish between cloture and the final vote, unlike Rand Paul’s social media extensions. Senator Rand Paul, another TEA Party darling and 2016 Presidential hopeful, hasn’t publicly gone after Senator Cruz over missing the vote and attending a fund raiser.

Rand Paul, whom I support in addition to Ted Cruz and other constitutionalist hopefuls, has not brought this up, to my knowledge, publicly, himself. I doubt that he would encourage this kind of behavior and inflammatory accusations coming from his supporters.

I want to publicly condemn these social media attacks on Ted Cruz for missing the final vote.

Why? Because, as usual, we’re missing the point. TWENTY REPUBLICANS VOTED to ensure that Loretta Lynch would be the next Attorney General of the United States of America! That’s the story, my grassroots friends. Focus.

And on that note, the Twenty Republican Senators that voted to confirm Loretta Lynch are as follows:

Senator Jeff Flake (Arizona)

Senator Cory Gardner (Colorado)

Senator Mark Kirk (Illinois)

Senator Pat Roberts (Kansas)

Senator Mitch McConnell (Kentucky)

Senator Susan Collins (Maine)

Senator Thad Cochran (Mississippi)

Senator Kelly Ayotte (New Hampshire)

Senator Richard Burr (North Carolina) (I despise this man)

Senator Thom Tillis (North Carolina) (Equally despised!)

Senator Rob Portman (Ohio)

Senator Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)

Senator Mike Rounds (South Dakota)

Senator John Thune (South Dakota)

Senator Lamar Alexander (Tennessee)

Senator Bob Corker (Tennessee)

Senator John Cornyn (Texas)

Senator Orin Hatch (Utah)

Senator Shelly Moore Capito (West Virginia)

Senator Rob Johnson (Wisconsin)

Many of these big government, statist, establishment republicans, after voting for Lynch, voted against her, primarily because they believe that their constituents are too stupid to know the difference; and maybe, because the real story will be that Ted Cruz flew off to a fund raiser and missed the final nail in the coffin all together.

Grassroots America: you better get your act together. The voting records of Senators like Mike Lee, Ben Sass, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul are almost identical. If you spend your time trying to figure out how to make the ones you aren’t supporting for president look like villains, well, you will do more than any Jeb Bush campaign strategist to ensure that Jeb Bush is the next Republican candidate who ensures another liberal, Marxist, Democrat is sworn in as President of the United States of America.

Just as your article serves no legitimate purpose, neither does it to hold up her nomination, other than to pacify the hate radio base.

What happens when the situation is reversed? Payback?

Elections do have consequences. Blame it on Bush 43′.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
